Job Summary:
The Conflict Resolution & Mediation Consultant will help participants develop skills to manage disputes arising during land acquisition and resettlement. The consultant will focus on consensus-building, mediation, and grievance-handling techniques, supported by case studies and practical role-plays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sessions on negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
- Lead role-plays on grievance redress (e.g., Lake Turkana Wind Project).
- Provide strategies for community-level conflict resolution.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Law, Peace Studies, or Mediation/Conflict Resolution.
- At least 5 years’ experience in land-related disputes or ADR.
- Strong participatory facilitation skills.
