Associate Advocate at Simba & Simba Advocates LLP

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, with a current Practicing Certificate.
  • A minimum of four (4) years post-admission working experience in a busy Law firm.
  • Must be based in Nakuru County or willing to relocate.
  • Demonstrable prior experience in Conveyancing Processes, a strong understanding of Kenyan Land Laws, Banking and Litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and perfecting a wide variety of legal documents, including pleadings, security documents, agreements for sale, leases, and transfers with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Managing the timely perfection of securities, including charges, debentures, and mortgages, ensuring adherence to very strict turnaround times.
  • Effectively coordinating with various government registries, including the Lands Registry, Companies Registry, Local Authorities, and Survey of Kenya, to oversee and expedite client matters.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, providing sound legal opinions and advice on matters relating to real estate and litigation.
  • Acting as the lead liaison for the branch, coordinating communication between clients, mortgage lenders, estate agents, and other third parties to ensure seamless transaction flow.
  • Actively participating in business development initiatives to build and enhance the firm’s client base in the region.
    Ensuring systematic file management for all client matters.
  • Contributing to the firm’s knowledge base by preparing articles, legal alerts, and training materials.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain highly effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
