We are looking for a mature, discreet, and experienced Senior Legal Officer who will help safeguard our operations while opening doors for thoughtful growth, protecting our people, land, and business every step of the way.
As Senior Legal Officer at Angama, you will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team, guiding risk reduction, leading on land transactions, and ensuring our operations are backed by sound legal frameworks. Your work will help us grow responsibly, protect what matters most, and ensure that Angama can continue to make a meaningful difference for our guests, staff, and communities.
This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer Key Responsibilities: ‒
- Protect Angama’s operations through sound legal frameworks, contracts, and risk management.
- Maintain accurate records and systems that support audits, reconciliation, and compliance.
- Lead on land acquisition processes with careful due diligence and clear guidance.
- Support the establishment of new business entities in Kenya and potential regional markets.
- Provide commercial legal advice on employment, supplier, and guest-related matters.
- Liaise with external legal consultants for highly complex matters while managing costs.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB); Advocate of the High Court of Kenya preferred.
- At least 5 years’ post-qualification commercial legal experience.
- Solid knowledge of Kenyan business and land law; Uganda/regional experience an advantage.
- Proven track record in land transactions, corporate structuring, and commercial contracts.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
