Job Description
- Control and co-ordination of the University legal
- Shall be the Chief Legal Advisor of the University Management, senate and
- Assisting the Vice Chancellor in council Secretarial
- Guiding the council and management on the Key governance and compliance
- Drafting of legal documents, handling cases involving the University and advising the University on all legal matters.
- Ensure University legal and regulatory frameworks are legally compliant through constant review.
- Interpret the University Statutes, Terms and Conditions of Service, Collective Agreements, Memorandum of Understandings, Contracts and other documents that are legally binding.
Requirements for Appointment: –
For appointment to this grade, a person must possess the following qualifications:
- Have a Bachelors degree in law from a recognized university;
- Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing
- Have 3 years experience in a similar position or in legal
- A Certified Public Secretary (CPS – K) and member of ICPSK with a valid practicing license is an added advantage.
