We’re thrilled to welcome you to our inaugural Winning at Law Podcast Live recording this International Women’s History Month on Thursday, 6th March from 5:30 pm. The inaugural event is the first of a series of virtual events curated to celebrate ladies in the law and encourage them to own their wins.
Our distinguished guest is Pat Mbugua. Ms. Mbugua is an award-winning lawyer with a career spanning over two decades, first at Walker Kontos, a tier-one law firm, where she grew from a pupil to partner, and later in the banking sector, serving as in-house counsel in various banking institutions, including Ban k of Africa and Standard Chatered Bank Kenya Limited.
Pat Mbugua’s current designation is Head, Legal, Client Coverage, Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), East Africa, at Standard Chartered Bank. Besides the law, mentorship holds a special place in her heart. Ms. Mbugua was part of our panel on The Diversity of the Legal Profession during the LawDown Africa’s first-ever Kenya Law Career Fair, where she dispensed pearls upon pearls of wisdom, including the crucial life skills that facilitated a smooth transition from law firm practice to in-house practice.
Pat has achieved a tremendous lot in her over two decades in Kenya’s legal space #SheDidThis!. Join us on Thursday as she unpacks her journey and shares crucial lessons, especially as a woman in the legal arena.
