The Third National Alternative Justice Systems Conference shall be held between 11- 18 June, 2024 under the theme: Accelerating People-Centred Justice in Kenya: Engaging, Expanding And Re-Tooling Alternative Justice. It is noteworthy that this theme seeks to consciously entrench AJS within the tradition and logic of Social Transformation Through Access to Justice (STAJ) of expanding organic, people-centered approaches to access to justice. The Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Martha Koome, through STAJ. locates the judiciary as a connector of justice actors as it promotes people-centered justice thus widening and multiplying the doorways of justice. It is in this regard that the National Steering Committee on Implementation of Alternative Justice Systems (NaSCI-AJS) in conjunction with the Kenya Judiciary Academy (KJA) has organised three webinars that shall foster conversations on the following sub-themes:
- AJS as a tool for expanding Multiple Doors of Justice Tuesday 9th April 2024
- Application of AJS in the Counties: Tues 7th May 2024.
- The Role of the Judiciary in Accelerating AJS Practices at the Counties: Tues 4th June 2024
