Andrew and Steve Advocates are looking for an agile, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Conveyancing and Litigation Court and Office Clerk. The successful candidate will be based in our Nairobi office, shall have the following responsibilities and possess the qualities below;
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending to all court and land registry processes.
- Effecting service and delivery of requisite dispatch
- Updating of hearing dates for litigation matters in the firms’ master calendar.
- Management of the bring up diary with respect to court and land registry attendances.
- Ability to uphold all court records to ensure they stay up-to-date and accessible.
- To act as the liaison for the firm for all Court and land
Registries. - Drafting court documents i.e Hearing/Mention dates and
- Parties Invitations and Affidavit of Service.
- Ensure all legal documents submitted to court and land registries adhere to the law and court procedures.
- Preparation of status reports for the management in relation to the docket.
- Supporting the partners and associates on preparation of documents for filing in court and land registries.
Minimum Requirements
- Have 3 years’ experience in a busy law firm.
- Be a licensed court process server holding a current practicing certificate.
- Diploma in Law or Administration (with bias in legal matters) from a recognized institution;
- Be proficient in computer applications.
- Demonstrate merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results in similar past capacities.
